Each believer is called by the Holy Spirit to minister to the Church through one or more ministries. Below are the ministries at the Congregation of Yahshua.
The Teaching Ministry is comprised of the Teaching Ministers. They are involved in the Spiritual instruction of the Church and are also charged with maintaining sound Biblical doctrine in the Church.
Visit each minister’s page to read, listen or watch sermons preached by the minister.
Advanced Bible Class
The Advanced Bible Class is a Bible lesson. It takes place every Sabbath (Saturday) between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. It is led by Assistant Pastor Elizabeth (Beth) White.
We sit around a table and learn from her as she is led by the Holy Spirit. We discuss the matters as we go along with the lesson. The Adult Bible Class can contain discussion of advanced Bible doctrines so those who are still young in the faith are encouraged to attend the Youth Ministry (Intermediate Bible Class) or the Children’s Ministry (Basic Bible Class).
The Youth Ministry, sometimes called the Intermediate Bible Class, is led by Minister Leonardo Johnson and takes place every Sabbath (Saturday) between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. It is comprised of youth typically between the ages of 12 and 18. However, adults are also encouraged to attend the class if they are young in the faith.
The Youth Ministry involves showing the youth how to take what they learned in the Beginner’s Class (Children’s Ministry) and apply it to their lives. Strengthening one’s relationship with the Messiah is stressed.
Listen to Minister Leonardo Johnson as he discusses what goes on in the Young Adult Bible Class.
The Children’s Ministry, sometimes called the Basic Bible Class, is led by Minister Denise Anthony, and sometimes by Sister Margaret Crawford, and meets every Sabbath (Saturday) between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
The children are taught the Scriptures and doctrine through Bible stories. They also learn Bible-based arts and crafts. The children are also involved in prayer and are encouraged to find salvation in Yahshua the Messiah.
The Music Ministry involves worshiping Yahweh through the Holy Spirit using musical instruments. We have been blessed with ministers who love to play musical instruments in worship of Yahweh.
The Music Ministry typically plays during the worship services before Bible Study on Fridays and on Saturdays before the Bible classes and before the sermons.
The Music Ministry is accompanied by the Praise and Worship Ministries before the sermons on Saturdays.
We love to worship Yahweh through musical instruments! Come sing and dance in praise of our great Heavenly Father!
The Music Ministry is led by Brother William White.
The Praise Ministry involves worshiping Yahweh using one’s voice as stated in Psalm 103:44: “I will sing to Yahweh as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being.”
The Praise Ministry is led by Sister Jaimye Johnson and Sister Faith Anthony. They lead the congregation, through the Spirit, in song. They work together with the Music Ministry.
While the Praise and Worship Ministry is led by Sister Jaimye Johnson and Sister Faith Anthony, saints who are led by the Spirit to sing a song, share a testimony, a word of praise or thankfulness, or a prayer request, are welcome to in line with 1 Corinthians 14:26. Everything must be done for the building up of the Church.
Every 3rd Sabbath (Saturday) of the month we have a fellowship dinner. The saints bring a meal (Biblically clean foods only, see Leviticus 11) and we eat the good blessed food and enjoy fellowship with one another.
It is a time to enjoy one other’s company while enjoying the delicious food that Father Yahweh has blessed us with.
The Men’s Meeting is a gathering of the men (any brother at least 13 years old) in the congregation every last Sunday of every month at 5:30 pm. The men discuss Scriptural matters relating to Godly manhood. Every 3rd meeting involves an outing. The men gather together elsewhere and are involved in outdoor or indoor fun activities! You must currently be a member of the Congregation of Yahshua to attend these meetings.
